Hi UmamThanks for your question. There are two tginhs to consider. The first one, is the PoodLL widgets themselves (video players, audio recorder etc). The second is the PoodLL palette which is available on the html editor, and which allows you to choose a widget to insert into an html page. The PoodLL widgets themselves are all available to be used by students once they are on a page. But by default students do not have access to the PoodLL palette to choose and add widgets to their own pages, assignments and forum posts. This is seen as a function course designers require, but students generally do not require. However you can enable this functionality for students too. If you open [yourmoodledir]/lib/editor/htmlarea.php around line 1777 you will see this code:======================================== echo insert_media_std.php?id=$id ;========================================Replaceecho insert_media_std.php?id=$id ;withecho insert_media.php?id=$id ;Then open [yourmoodledir]/lib/editor/popups/insert_media.php and around line 9, you will find this code==============================================require_capability( moodle/course:managefiles', get_context_instance(CONTEXT_COURSE, $id));==============================================comment it out like this// require_capability( moodle/course:managefiles', get_context_instance(CONTEXT_COURSE, $id));Then students will be able to open the poodll palette.
